It's been the better part of a month since I left the fediverse. The dust has settled and I've gotta say— things feel like they've slowed way down in my life as a result. No complaints here! The underlying, ever-pervasive base layer of anxiety that comes part and parcel with using social media seems to have ebbed. It's kind of amazing, honestly!

Although I work on a computer for a living, my desire to be on my computer at home has waned pretty significantly. I've no ambition to start a new project or hack at something just to hack. Perhaps that's due to fulfilling work.

Since I've been playing the NES on the regular, I haven't even been able to muster up any desire to play games on the computer. I'm okay with this!

Spring is coming. The weather has been warming, and my walks outdoors have been tremendously enjoyable. I still have taxes to do, and some other big things besides. But— good weather makes it all a lot more palatable!

Valentine's Day, as well as birthdays for my partner and I, have come and gone. Somehow, my pessimism around the Hallmark holidays has dissolved and I've come to enjoy these frivolous sorts of days!
