"don't yuck my yum."

I am not sure where I first heard this phrase, but I feel like it pretty succinctly covers a lot of things in life and I like it a lot. Basically, if someone likes something, and it doesn't actively harm someone else, who am I to say that I don't like it?

It may be true that the thing someone likes isn't my cup of tea and, really, that's pretty cool if you think about it. We like different things! That could be hobbies, music, operating systems, religion, or any number of other topics.

This goes a little further: sometimes it's really cool to hear someone share something important to them. Nerd out! I love hearing all of the minutiae of something that's your "yum!"

I feel like the world could use a little more "yum" and a little less "yuck." :)
