101 posts!

So I figured out that I miscounted my blog posts— this is actually my 101st post!
This weekend has been pretty rad. I stayed up way too late Friday night setting up my new retrogaming handheld. I found a really good set of ROMs to fill my 128 GB microSD card. Yesterday, I felt pretty miserably on that lack of sleep but managed to get plenty done: degreased my bicycle powertrain and washed & folded two loads of laundry. Now that I've got my handheld retrogaming system all set up, I've been enjoying playing the PSX version of Final Fantasy VII cuddled up on the couch with our two cats. It's been so cozy!
We went to two back-to-back ice hockey games Friday and Saturday. Our home team is at the bottom of the standings and lost both, but we still had a really good time. Friday night's game was lost in an overtime shootout, so it was damned close. My partner is super into hockey now— it's a pretty regular occurrence to glance over and see them poring over player stats on the league's scorekeeping website during a game.
Related to attending a hockey game: still going strong on abstaining from alcohol this year! Game concessions are a whole lot cheaper now, too.
Today'll also be busy. I'll be visiting ALDI in a little while for our weekly grocery run. Tonight I'll cook up some black bean and zucchini enchiladas to eat on for a couple of days. Last week, we had a couple of storms roll through and knock all the leaves and a few branches off of our trees, so I'll spend the afternoon doing a little raking and picking up.
Unfortunately, it looks like I might be missing bicycling to work a couple days next week. Tomorrow morning, we're getting the van serviced, and it looks like it'll be raining Tuesday and Friday morning. Ordinarily I'd just ride and get wet, but not when it's also 40°F. I really should consider getting some proper rain gear. Oh well. I'll take the opportunity to go get a haircut, plus it'll be nice to arrive at the city council meeting not sweaty and in my bicycle shorts! 😅
I suppose that's all for now— I've got to get this day started!
Until next time, be well! :)
