Last month, I wrote about a sort of ennui I was feeling about technology, the Internet, et cetera. I think it's actually getting stronger— every time I poke on Reddit or whatever, I get my noggin crammed full of negativity and gossip about Elon Musk, Threads, and all that sort of stuff that simply does not matter to me.

Life has actually been going really well for me. Bicycling continues to be a strong passion and the exercise and sun have uplifted my mood substantially. Got a promotion at work. We've a few music festivals coming up. We're gonna go visit the lake today on this beautiful sunny Saturday in July. Positivity radiates from every facet of my life!

Perhaps it's because it's summer, but I just haven't been enthusiastic about spending time on my computer. I started playing Cogmind, which has been pretty dang enjoyable, but otherwise I've been reading a lot more.

Mostly, I think I just need to give myself permission to stay offline for a while— so I think I'll do just that! The birds sing, the sun shines, and those summer showers pop up every now and then to remind us that we're on a spinning blue marble full of life and the elements.
