  1. Combine the dry ingredients, zest, and honey in a small pot.
  2. Pour just enough of the wine into the pot to cover the sugar and dry ingredients.
  3. Heat on medium high until the mixture starts bubbling & turning into a syrup. Stir regularly.
  4. Add the rest of the wine and the orange slices.
  5. Cover the pot, turn to low, and let simmer for an hour or so.
  6. Strain into mugs and serve warm.
